Job Type: CDL Bulk Truck Driver for Hazardous Materials

Fisher Industries is hiring CDL Class A Bulk Truck Drivers to transport hazardous materials throughout Arizona and occasionally out of state. This role offers overnight travel, $25 per diem on workdays, and the opportunity to work with an industry-leading construction company known for safety and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities

• Loading and Unloading: Adhere to company and DOT regulations for handling hazardous materials
• Tanker Operations: Operate bulk tanker trucks in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Route Compliance: Transport loads to destinations while following traffic laws and safety guidelines
• Documentation: Complete and submit accurate paperwork as per company standards
• Daily Maintenance: Check oil, fuel, water, and tires regularly to ensure operational readiness
• Safety Inspections: Perform inspections on trucks, equipment, and facilities
• Malfunction Reporting: Report any issues or concerns with equipment to management
• Auxiliary Equipment Use: Operate pumps, spill kits, and fire extinguishers when needed
• Permit Understanding: Review permits for route and safety requirements
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites
• Adverse Weather Conditions: Work in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain

Requirements and Qualifications

• Age: Must be at least 21 years old
• Language: Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write in English
• CDL: Valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Medical Certification: DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• MSHA Certification: Part 46 and Part 48 preferred or willingness to obtain (company-sponsored)
• Drug Test: Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• Background Check: Successful federal criminal background check
• Driving Record: Acceptable MVR per company policy
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment on rough terrain
